This workshop explores the ideas behind the work of Abalino Dance Theatre. The students are encouraged to use movement creatively, and are led through tasks that draw from contemporary dance, puppetry and physical theatre. We will look specifically at how we can animate the body in different ways to create character and narrative. This work will be developed through partner and group work, introducing elements of contact.
